Friday: Free Satsang - Balance the Pursuit of Happiness
Life quality vs. quantity
We all strive for happiness in our lives, which is perfectly natural. But happiness can be volatile and stay with us for a limited amount of time, or it can be deeply anchored and stay within us through life. It all depends on where we focus our search for happiness. Within this material world that we are brought up in we tend to look for happiness outside of ourselves. When we do that the search and outcome become quantity-based in the form of material goods and pleasure.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to or reminded of the importance of beginning your search for happiness on the inside which will result in the profound quality-based happiness that will not be shaken by any outer circumstances.
The workshop will consist of both physical exercises and theory and is for everyone who is curious about a deeper approach to yoga and spirituality and are ready to take responsibility for their happiness and life quality. The workshop will be held in easily understandable English.
09.30 - 12.00: Yoga & Ayurveda Workshop 495 SEK
Imagine that you had your own personal manual to your body and mind. The philosophy of Ayurveda works as helping to decipher the manual to our body and mind that we were born with. It helps us to reach a deeper understanding of ourselves and others.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to the ancient traditional principles of Ayurveda and how deeply it relates to yoga. You will get a deeper knowledge of Ayurveda that you can use in your own life and yoga practice or bear in mind if you teach others. To make it a personal experience you will be using yourself as a case study.
You don’t need to have experience with Ayurveda. The workshop is for men and women of all ages who are curious about to get a deeper understanding of how yoga and Ayurveda are connected. The workshop is suitable both for the participant who is new to Ayurveda and for the advanced yoga teacher who wants to benefit from the principles of Ayurveda in his/her teachings.
13.30 - 15.00: The Secret of Sun Salutations 395 SEK
In most ancient religions the sun has been worshipped as the life-giving force. In the yoga context, the sun is a symbol on spiritual enlightenment and in the sun salutation, the worship of the sun is a ritual with ancient roots. Most yoga practitioners know the sun salutation as a physical series of yoga positions but the ancient Indian wisdom opens up many deeper layers of yoga in this specific discipline.
Learn how the different physical positions have deeper philosophical meaning and get tools for a short morning yoga practice that will keep your daily focus on the spiritual path – even during busy and stressful periods of life. The teaching contains physical yoga, yoga philosophy and guidance in pranayama exercises, deep relaxation and a short meditation. This workshop proves a clear link between the physical layers of yoga and the meditative layers of yoga. It also unfolds the fundamental life-knowledge and teaching of life-approach that yoga provides.
The astrological benefits of Sun Salutation will also be unfolded in the workshop.
The workshop is both for beginners and experienced yoga practitioners.
17.00 - 18.30: Advanced Yoga 395 SEK
According to ancient yoga philosophy, the art of yoga is a movement towards the highest layer of consciousness; a blissful state of enlightened oneness. This state is within all human beings but in order to reach a glimpse of it, we work through five layers (koshas): The physical layer (asanas),the energy layer (pranayama), the psychological layer (mind), the layer of inner wisdom (wisdom beyond the mind) and finally the Universal Self (the egoless state). During intense and dedicated yoga & meditation practice you may have experienced different layers on your yoga journey.
With this workshop Govind aims to help you to step further on your personal yoga journey; further than the physical layer of asanas and the mental layer of meditation. With the insight of the five koshas, you will gain awareness of the different layers of yoga and meditation experience in your own practice. You will also learn more about how human beings can move in between the layers with healing, telepathy and the like – and also how this may relate to the ego and the journey towards Self Realization.
This workshop is for experienced yoga practitioners and meditators and is suitable for Teacher Training Programs. It also addresses persons with other spiritual experience – such as healers since it will add to their understanding of the human layers of existence.

Guidance for your personal needs and motivation
In the one-to-one sessions, you get personal advice on how to harmonise your life in times of chaos, illness, when the daily challenges overwhelm you or when you for other reasons need Govind's helping hand.
Individual guidance is also essential in order to get the deeper benefits of yoga and meditation. To go beyond the bodily feeling and reach to the states where yoga interacts on the subtle levels and affects the mind and life awareness.
In the session, Govind will talk with you and learn about your body-mind constitution, your temperament and personality and your current life situation (stress level, diet and general life habits). Since yoga works on multiple layers and has the capacity of reaching to the “centre of your being” there are no limitations for which specific issue you may seek help for.
Likewise, there are not two individual classes that are the same. Some sessions will be mainly physical based and other talk-based. However, most often it’s a mix of both yoga exercises and life advice/guidance. Expect to be heard, seen, met and receive guidance and to use in your specific life. If you have a specific history of illness or injury we ask you to inform us in advance in order to schedule the timings accordingly.
